# What feeds your ad AI?

Every advertiser is using the same algorithm. The website is the only thing they don't share.

Every business running paid ads is using AI to optimise their campaigns. Smart Bidding, Performance Max, Advantage+ — it's the default now.

Which means every competitor is using the same optimisation engine.

The algorithm works with two types of data: shared (demographics, intent, auction signals — everyone has this) and proprietary (what happens on your website — only you have this).

A thin website gives the AI nothing proprietary to work with. Its performance ceiling is identical to every competitor running similar campaigns.

We're starting to think the most undervalued investment in paid media isn't the ad budget. It's the website that feeds data back into the system.

After working through this with a few clients, the gap is obvious: ads and website are treated as separate activities. No feedback loop. No signal flowing back. The AI is guessing when it could be learning.

We don't have the full loop built yet. But we think the technology is ready and we're working toward it.

If you run paid media — where does your website data actually go? Does anything flow back?
